一个雕塑或素描，尤其是大型雕塑，往往成为园林景观或其他地方观赏的，自然也应成为强烈的照明对象。周围植物、场地照明应明显低于雕塑。如果一个景点是由几个性质、内容和体积相似的雕塑组成，那么它们的灯光和亮度也应该相似。如果一个景点是由多个不同性质、不同内容、不同体量的雕塑组成，则应选择主体雕塑和配套雕塑，使主体雕塑成为景区的照明焦点和视觉。
A sculpture or sketch, especially a large sculpture, often becomes the center of landscape or other places to watch, and naturally should also become a strong lighting object. The lighting of surrounding plants and sites should be significantly lower than that of sculptures. If a scenic spot is composed of several sculptures of similar nature, content and volume, their lighting and brightness should also be similar. If a scenic spot is composed of sculptures of different natures, contents and volumes, the main sculpture and supporting sculptures should be selected to make the main sculpture become the lighting focus and visual center of the scenic spot.
雕塑的亮度与以下因素有关。
The brightness of the sculpture is related to the following factors.
(1)雕塑环境(背景)的亮度。在明亮环境中的雕塑和在黑暗环境中的雕塑需要更大的光照才能达到同样的装饰效果。

(2)观察者与雕塑之间的距离。距离越远，雕塑照明需要更大的照度。

(3)雕塑表面的材料反射率。对反射率高的白色大理石等浅色雕塑，照度应适当降低;反之，对大理石雕塑的色彩等进行照射，则需要更高的照度。表面光滑的青铜雕塑等，反光严重的，要用同样功率的大功率投光灯代替多小功率投光灯。小功率投光灯分散放置，光束重叠，减少或反射。

For light colored sculptures such as white marble with high reflectivity, the illuminance should be reduced appropriately; otherwise, for the illumination of marble sculptures, a higher illuminance is needed. The bronze sculptures with smooth surface and serious reflection should be replaced by high-power projection lamps with the same power. The low-power projection lamp is placed dispersedly, the light beams overlap, and the reflection is reduced or eliminated.
(4)协调雕塑与底座的亮度。浅色雕塑与深色底座搭配，在相同的光照下，显得和谐稳定。深色雕塑与浅色底座用相同数量的光照照射两者，有一种雕塑被抬高而不稳定的感觉。因此，雕塑的灯光要强烈，底座要漫反射，突出雕塑的效果。
(4) coordinate the brightness of sculpture and base. Light color sculpture and dark base match, in the same light, appears harmonious and stable. The dark sculpture and the light base are illuminated by the same amount of light, which makes the sculpture feel elevated and unstable. Therefore, the lighting of sculpture should be strong, and the base should be diffuse to highlight the effect of sculpture.
