(1)投光灯距雕塑小品的距离要适宜，过近，会显出雕塑小品细部的缺点；过远，雕塑小品的表面亮度会变得均匀，过于平淡而失去魅力。

(2)雕塑小品的表面亮度要明显高于周围环境的亮度，使之成为一个特定区域的亮点和兴奋点。用高显色光源，原汁原味地表现雕塑小品形象。

(3)根据雕塑小品的形象特征，调整投光灯的数量和位置，使雕塑小品各个部位具有一定的亮度和亮度差。亮度差太小，无立体感；亮度差太大，则阴森恐怖。如果出现亮度差别较大的问题，就要调整灯位或补充局部照明投光灯，使雕塑小品表面各部位达到满意的亮度。要特别注意的关键部位，如头部、脸部、神态及形体造型，用灯光表现雕塑小品的神态美。一般灯光由下向上投射，在布灯时注意避免灯光对游人造成眩光。

(4)雕塑小品不宜使用正面均匀投光，以免造成雕塑小品配光均匀平淡和造成眩光。

(5)投光灯具的设置要有隐蔽性，可以用灌木花丛掩护投光灯具，也可以在地面或草坪设地埋式投光灯。对于大型雕塑或形状特殊的雕塑小品，必要时可设灯柱，进行二次局部投光照明，以显现雕塑小品上面的细部。各灯具的设置，在夜晚和白天都不能影响人们对雕塑小品的观赏效果。
(5) The setting of floodlights shall be concealed, which can be covered by bushes and flowers, or buried on the ground or lawn. For large sculptures or sculptures with special shapes, if necessary, lamp posts can be set for secondary local lighting to show the details above the sculptures. The setting of lamps and lanterns can't affect people's appreciation of sculptures at night and in the daytime.
(6)必要时，雕塑照明可进行现场或模拟实验，寻求更好的照明方案。
